Eco Schools
Our Green Team children were full of excitement as they proudly raised our Eco-Schools Green Flag! Thanks to our efforts in promoting environmental projects across our school and community, we’ve been awarded the Green Flag with Distinction. This achievement inspires us to continue doing all we can to protect and care for our beautiful planet.
See how we’re making a difference in our Eco Schools film:
Air Quality around our school
The Year 3, 4,and 5 Green Team children used Air Quality Monitors to record the quality of air around our school at busy drop-off times and compared it to a quiet time during the day. We found dangerously high levels of pollution in the air at busy times. Watch our video to learn more...
Dr Sinead Jones from Ashville Surgery spoke to our children about the dangers of air pollution You can watch her video here: What is the air quality in Manchester like doctor?
Active Travel
We would like to encourage all our children and staff to make active journeys...walk, cycle or park at least 10 minutes away from school so that we can all breathe in cleaner air. See the Active Travel page for more information about our walking buses and bike train.
