Here are some pictures of our learning in Autumn 1
We are thrilled to be welcoming you back to St Margaret's ready for an exciting Autumn half term.
In maths, we are using equipment to understand place value, separating numbers in to tens and ones whilst adding to either place value column.
As writers, we will be writing our version of the story Troll Swap by Leigh Hodgkinson. We will be recapping all we have learned about capital letters, full stops and forming sentences whilst expanding our vocabulary and sentence types.
Through our science topic, we are learning about plants. We are learning about the life cycles of plants and the process of seed dispersal. We will also be visiting RHS Bridgewater Gardens as our trip this half term.
As historians, we are learning all about the Tudors. We will find out about Henry VIII and his 6 wives and Elizabeth I and the Spanish Armada.
In computing, we are using the laptops to edit word documents and input information.
We will be enjoying sketching insects in our sketchbooks in art. We make use of a range of media in order to produce expressive and varied pieces.
DT is based on cooking nutrition this half term as we will be designing, cooking and evaluating our own soup.
Our PE topic this half term is based on Tudor dancing. We will completing our lessons in our sports hall.
