Y6 Meet the Teacher

PE

In Autumn 1, PE is indoor for Year 6. The PE timetable is as follows:

• 6FI - Friday
• 6RC - Thursday
• 6RH - Monday

Please ensure that your child wears to school a plain white top, black shorts, leggings or jogging pants, and suitable indoor footwear on their allotted PE day every week.

Homework

In Year 6, homework is given on Friday, to be completed for the following Wednesday. Following consultation with staff, pupils and parents, homework will continue to be paper-based. On a weekly basis, your child will receive the following:

• Arithmetic questions
• Spellings
• P4C Question of the Week

In addition to the above, children are expected to read from their class reading book for 20-30 minutes every day, and to complete the corresponding Accelerated Reader test for their reading book. This is vital for developing their vocabulary and comprehension.
